My comment on an article "Climate change spurs positive for India: overseas demand for indigenous cattle rises" published in the economictimes.com Dated 11/11/2014 at 4:40 pm.
"Good news that our cattle are being demanded from Australia and Brazil. They have good farms and plains but their cattle population is decreasing.
It is good that our cattle can survive their climatic conditions and are able to reproduce.
But, one thing to be considered is that we have our own demand for milk and other dairy products. Instead of meeting our demands, they are thinking of exporting cattle to other countries for higher profits. This is not a welcome step.
First, we should meet our local demands. The prices have raised too much in the nearby one or two years. They should increase our production and bring down the prices first. Then only can they think of exporting to other countries."
