A "Ring of Fire" annular solar eclipse will occur on October 2, 2024, from IST 9:12 pm to IST 3:17 am 3rd October 2024. It would be a great sight to witness this celestial event. However, people are forbidden to sight eclipses without taking complete precautions.
This is the 2nd solar eclipse this year. The first one was on 8th April, 2024. Due to night-time events, India is not affected by these solar eclipses. The sun will be invisible to India and hence no sighting.
On 2nd October (ie. today), the eclipse will be sighted in North America, Canada, and Pacific Region.
The astrologers suggest that there can be influences of the eclipse even though we are not in its path. So, they recommend people to keep inside their homes and not step out during this period.
