Hi, Friends. I came across Five Popular Adages while browsing through articles on the Medium website. Thereafter, I searched online for the same and found some definitions. I am sharing them here.
An adage is a popular phrase or expression that is always true about people or the world.
Here's an explanation of each of those proverbs expressed as Laws:
1) Murphy's Law:
This law states, "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong."
It emphasizes the tendency of things to fail unexpectedly and highlights the importance of being ready to face and tackle them.
Also known as Headland's Law, this principle states that if you can clearly articulate a problem, you've already made a significant step toward solving it.
3) Gilbert's Law:
This law highlights a common workplace issue: unclear direction and instructions. It suggests that "it is often your responsibility" to determine the best way to achieve your goals.
4) Wilson's Law:
This principle suggests that when a decision doesn’t demand immediate action, it’s wise to take a step back and delay the choice. Sometimes, a little extra time can lead to clearer insights and better outcomes!
