A Comment on Rupee fall against strengthening Dollar

My Comment on an article "Will Rupee see free fall as US Dollar strengthens?" published in the economictimes.com Dated 09/10/2014 at 12:30 pm. 


"It will be the most worst thing to happen if our Rupee falls to 71 a Dollar. Our Government, RBI and other economists must do something immediately to prevent such a chaos. 

But why do you predict such things to happen? 

If US is getting economically stronger, it doesn't mean that India should stagger. We also can pick up the momentum through good measures and our Modi government can also do some miracles to improve the position."

A Comment on RBI maintaining/ controlling Rupee value

My Comment on an article "RBI may buy more Dollars to prevent major rise of Rupee" published in the Economic Times Dated 15/05/2014 at 1:10 pm.


"Good work being done by RBI to maintain rupee value. 

But is it the fair value of Rupee to be at 60 for Dollar? 

If inflation and circumstances pushed down Rupee, the same reasons should affect value of Dollar also. Two decades ago it was 50-52 per Dollar and the same ratio should be maintained now also as per my opinion."

My reply to a comment of a reader stating that rupee value should be at 56 per dollar published in the Economic Times Dated 08/05/2014 at 10 am.


"Very happy that you calculated taking so much considerations of facts. Very good reasoning. 

But, I would like to see the rupee at 50 to dollar and stabilise at that rate for ever. May be it may take time. 

But I hope we can achieve that with some good planning and control."
