	''Your objective is good. But I was disturbed to know that we are in short of ammunition to protect ourselves in case of emergency. We are allocating thousands of crores each year on defence budget. Inspite of this, we are in shortage. But, I trust our Army chief and hope he will be going to achieve the minimum target somewhat earlier than stated by him.''

	''What is the reason for shortage? Does our ordnance factories unable to produce the required quantities? I think we do not fight wars. Ammunition is mostly spent during training sessions of our jawans. Border guards may be requiring some ammunition in counter fires now and then which is only a minor requirement. So there should not be any major need for ammunition. Then why there is shortage? Every year so much of defence allocations are being made. Where is that going on?''

	''Any kind of exercise by army should not be in cities paralysing the life of people. Such exercises should be carried outside of the city or urban limits. If there is congregation of army or police in urban areas, naturally any one can worry and smell something wrong. It is but natural as such things cause suspicion in our minds.''
