A Comment on last date is nearing for exchanging old currency notes.

 My Comment on an article "Only 10 days left to exchange your pre-2005 currency notes" published in the economictimes.com Dated 22/06/2015 at 1:30 pm.

"So, anybody having stocks of pre-2005 currency notes need to present the same immediately at banks or deposit into their accounts within the period in order to get them exchanged for new notes. 

The last date to do so is 30/06/2015."

A Comment on withdrawing old currency notes issued before 2005

 My Comment on an article "Currency notes issued before 2005 to be withdrawn post March 31: RBI" published in the Economic Times dated 22/01/2014 at 10:40 pm.


"Very good move. 

Old notes are getting soiled and tearing in many cases. It is good to remove them from circulation. 
Further as stated, it will greatly help curbing black money in circulation. A very prudent decision taken by RBI."
