A Comment on Hindi as our national language

My reply to a comment by a reader on National language of India in response to my previous comment on English edge over other languages published in Economic Times dated 5/01/2014 at 11 am.

Soni.deepesh: There's no national language in India...Hindi and English are the official languages.

My Reply:
Hindi is treated as our national language as majority of people know and speak in Hindi. So, I think Hindi should also be learnt by Indians

	''It is true that English has edge over other languages because of being the multi-national language. One should definitely learn English. But at the same time, one's own mother tongue and his own national language are also to be learnt properly. We should not leave our own culture.
