A Comment on Rupee's value post May 16 verdict

My Comment on an article "Like in 2009, will rupee shoot up 300 paise post May 16 verdict?" published in the Economic Times Dated 07/05/2014 at 10:20 pm.

"We should not see the results based at a particular event happening.

Real value is determined by taking the average during a certain period of time say 3 months or 6 months. The average can be considered to be the real picture of the rupee.

So need not be happy or sad by noticing a jump or slump in values."

A Comment on a prediction of the value of Rupee to Dollar

My Comment on an article "Rupee could either be at 55 or 68 in FY 2015, say experts" published in the Economic Times dated 04/04/2014 at 10:25 pm.

"Very silly title. "Rupee could be either at 55 or 68 a dollar".

Why not put it as it could either be at 50 or 100; a more safer side.

What is the sense of this title to this article? It can be assumed by any lay man that it can be like that. No need to tell it now by taking so much pains."

A Comment on RBI not allowing rupee to strengthen below 59

My Comment on an article "Right level for rupee at 55? RBI may not let it strengthen below 59" published in the Economic Times Dated 31/03/2014 at 10:40 pm.

"Why Sir, what will be the problem if it pegs down to 56 or 55 per dollar?

Oil imports will be cheaper for us which is the major import item of our country. We can improve our CAD.

Our imports are more than exports done by us. So why not let it fall below 59 per dollar?"

A further comment on deliberately allowing Rupee to fall

Another reply by me to a comment on the article "Did the Indian government deliberately allow the rupee to fall?" published on 21/02/2014 at 3:34 pm.

"Petro products will naturally increase, as we are dependent on imports of petroleum products.

That is why the rates are increasing frequently.

Unless we find some alternative source, it will be a big problem for our economy.

We should try to be self sufficient as far as possible in all fields, if economy is to improve."

Another Comment on Deliberately allowing the Rupee to fall

My further comment in reply to a comment on the article "Did Indian government deliberately allow the rupee to fall?" published in the Economic Times Dated 21/02/2014 at 3:31 pm.

"If there is improvement in domestic production and domestic services, and we are in a position to export goods and services, there is certainly growth in our economy.

If we become self sufficient, rupee will automatically improve. We should not worry for its fall."

A Comment on Deliberately allowing the Rupee to fall

MY Comment on an article "Did the Indian government deliberately allow the rupee to fall?" published in the Economic Times dated 21/02/2014 at 3:27 pm.

"From the point of view of encouraging exports, it is good.

If you get extra rupees you are tempted to export more. It is good for restricting imports also.

If imports are restricted, you will be forced to consume domestic products. It will boost our industry.

So for more internal development it is a very good tool to make the rupee weaker against dollar and euros."

A Comment on Rupee value down 14% against Dollar in year 2013

My Comment on an article "Rupee second worst emerging market currency: Down 14% against Dollar" published in the Economic Times Dated 28/12/2013 at 10:30 pm.

"Very bleak picture ahead.

Difficult to forecast or foresee anything.

Leave it to markets with some controlling measures on inflation and imports."

A Comment on linking Modi factor with Rupee value fluctuation

My comment on an article published in the Economic Times.com Dated 26/11/2013 published at 10:15 pm.

"It is good to see rupee sliding towards 60 per dollar.

But why you think that if Modi is there it will improve to 50 per Dollar? Why not somebody else? Say Chidambaram or somebody like him.

Giving too much significance to a certain person is not reasonable factor. It is a combination of many factors that decides your currency value and not a personality.
