A Comment on Government Celebrating on Liquor Sales

I just read a news in the Deccan Chronicle Hyderabad Edition Dated 02/01/2018 titled "TS gives a spirited welcome to the New Year and How".

What a pity!!! And, how ironic it is!

It is like celebrating on the ruins of the human lives. Imagine how many families must have been undergoing the bad consequences of this alcoholism habit of their members. Think of their sufferings and tortures, both physical and mental, that they might be facing every day.

I don't understand why the governments are not banning all these bad habits of tobacco and liquor consumptions. They should entirely ban the production and sale of such vulgar things.

I pray God that he be kind to this humankind.

A Comment on anti-tobacco drive activist Sunita Tomar's death.

Your comment on the article ''Sunita Tomar, face of anti-tobacco drive, loses fight with cancer'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 03/04/2015 at 3:45 pm.

''It is a shocking news. The crusader for anti-tobacco drive has lost her life even before doing something.

Sunita Tomar herself is a reality before us that "Tobacco Kills You". What else proof these political leaders want to accept that tobacco is dangerous to humanity.

Our Government should immediately ban tobacco production and the sale of tobacco products all over the country with immediate effect. There is no use in publishing warning messages on products and think your work is over. As long as you sell these products, people will be consuming them for one reason or another. So entirely ban it all around.''

A Comment on the statements of some politicians "no proof smoking causes cancer"

My Comment on an article "Another BJP MP defends tobacco, says "no proof smoking causes cancer" published in the timesofindia.com Dated 03/04/2015 at 3:15 pm.

"Very embarassing and silly statements by these leaders. It is a clearly tested and proved fact that tobacco is very dangerous to our health causing many complications like lung cancer, throat cancer and many deformities in body.

One should consult the medical experts or browse on web to know the facts instead of framing fake assumptions and opinions.

Even you can read my articles on this fact at the below mentioned links in which I have presented facts and given links to the Surgeon General's reports and other genuine medical studies and statistics about bad effects of smoking."

A Comment on withholding of Anti-tobacco Bill

My Comment on an article "Narendra Modi government shelves anti-tobacco bill" published in the economictimes.com Dated 4/12/2014 at 3:50 pm.

"Not introducing the bill amounts to supporting the production of tobacco.

Knowingly you are giving shelter to tobacco producers and traders so that they can continue in deteriorating the health of our people.

All these bad products of tobacco, alcohol should be entirely banned from being produced or sold. They make people lose their body and mind and affects the social and economical growth of our people, mostly youngsters.

Benefits and advantages of a few should not be allowed to destroy the health and economy of majority of our country."

A Comment on EC's largest liquor seizure

Your comment on the article ''In dry Gujarat, booze demand soars before polls; EC’s largest liquor seizure in India was made in state'' is now displayed ontimesofindia.com Dated 26/04/2014 at 4:58 pm.

''Why does all this happen at all? Why not ban all these nasty things- the alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes all such harmful products?

Allowing these things to earn revenue is morally not good at all. All these things deteriorate the health as well as healthy atmosphere of society.

Merely putting slogans and keep on producing all these anti-social elements does not work. You should ban everything completely.''

''A very good step being adopted by European Union to curtail tobacco products and smokers.

It should be practiced seriously by countries all over the world as it is a very risky health hazard issue.''

A Comment on Rural theme stocks and Tobacco products of ITC

Your comment on the article ''Bharat will outshine India, say analysts: Stocks to bet on'' is now displayed on economictimes.com Dated 4/10/2013 at 10 pm.

''Other rural theme product shares are good but cigarettes are harmful to health and their growth should be prevented.

On one side, there is increasing warnings about tobacco products as harmful to health and at the other side they are talking of increasing production of these items. This is not good.

The production of tobacco products should be banned by government if it is really thinking for a healthy society.

Social welfare and health care organisations should come forward to prohibit such unhealthy things from society.''

A Comment on an Article "Food, beverage and alcohol undermine Public Health"

Your comment on the article ''Food, beverage and alcohol companies undermine public health: Study'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com dated 13/02/2013 at 10:20 pm.
''It is a well known fact that alcohol and tobacco develop various diseases in people. But they are being allowed to be sold by government. They issue licence for running liquor shops, they promote sale of cigarettes by putting an advertisement that cigarette smoking is injurious to health. Very funny things! People go on consuming these things as long as they are available to them. Because they give them some temporary relief and enjoyment and make them feel free from responsibilities and challenges of life. As they have no guts to face realities, they adopt to these things and try to get rid from them. Our health departments and administration should do some thing to provide a healthier environment. Tobacco and liquor should be banned totally and punishments imposed on both sellers and consumers of these items.''
