A Comment on an article titled History being kind to Manmohan Singh

My Comment on an article "History will be kind to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh" published in the Economic Times Dated 15/05/2014 at 1:45 pm.


"History will be there in record whether one achieves best performance or worst performance. So there is no doubt of Manmohan Singh being there in history books. 

But the doubt is about author's intention of this article. He is praising one time, then pulling out his weak points and worst performances. Then bullying him with the quoting of his commandments/pledges in performing his service to the Congress dynasty (not to the public). 

So how can he expect history to treat him kindly or generously when he himself is treating this old respectable economist like this?"

	''It may be an alarming situation. There have been many scams and irregularities in his period, even though he had been honest and innocent. But he owns responsibility as a PM. He has not performed his duty of controlling the situations.''

Not with elusive principles and ideas. They should be commended for their service to our economic development even though it was not satisfactory to meet the demands of our country.''

My Comment:

He is the most humble and silent Prime Minister of any decades.

BRV Shanbhag replied:

his silence has brought him down, most inactive in taking decisions where needed most.

My reply:

I agree. But we should not come to conclusions. When we sit in his chair, then only can we know his limitations and problems. He is such a wise man with great financial and foreign affairs knowledge. But was unable to do anything. Better thing would have been if he did not prefer to sit in that chair. He has only tarnished his image by accepting the seat. Other wise, he is a great person.
