My Comment on an article "From tomorrow, Modi plays Santa in Kaun Banega Crorepati Scheme" published in the economictimes.com Dated 24/12/2016.

"This is a very good initiative being taken by our PM, Narendra Modi to allure people towards digitalisation. This move should promote wider awareness towards the digitalisation among people. 

The public should adapt to new technologies of making transactions instead of clinging to the same old methods of paying in hard cash. Voluminous cash transactions lead to corruption and creation of black money. Further, they should refrain from paying bribes to middlemen in their transactions. " 

When some reader commented that it will not promote awareness, I again replied as follows:

"Why not? Don't you take part in contests and quizzes? Many people love such things and try to check their luck in winning prizes."

"Our PM, Modi's intentions are good in cleaning the economy from black money and corruption and in introducing a cashless society. 

But, to achieve any goal you have to exert strain. Hardships will be there till you reach the goal. But, you should remain determined and move forward through those hardships to reach the goal and achieve success.

So, Modi should not get disturbed by all those comments of his criticisers. He should move forward with his goal."

"A bold decision was taken by our PM Narendra Modi. Now, the hoarders of cash have no way but to surrender their notes with Banks. 

I hope this step will definitely give some fruitful results in capturing the black money hoarders and thereby improve our economy. 

We should appreciate our PM's great decision and cooperate with him."

"Very much pleasing and welcome schemes are being launched by our PM before Dhanteras festival which falls two days prior to Diwali. It is an hectic festival of Gold and Silver purchases.

Gold monetisation is a great scheme for common man who can now deposit his gold articles in banks and earn some income. 

Similarly, Gold bonds are also safer instruments for investment. You need not keep physical gold, but only Gold papers. And earn interest too. 

Regarding printing of gold coins with Ashok chakra, the quantity being considered for bringing into market presently seems inadequate as there can be more prospective buyers of coins on Dhanteras day for using in Lakshmi puja. 
Besides, the denominations of 5 gram and 10 gram coins can not be in the reach of common man. So, government should consider bringing out 1 gram gold coins with Ashok chakra in huge quantities to meet common man's interests."

"One may be thinking talking and dreaming is easy. 

But you should accept it will lead to action. Dreams make us think and thinking leads to talking and discussing things. Unless you discuss, you can't get clear ideas. And clear ideas combined with some determination to achieve something will definitely lead to action. 

So it is good to see our PM is thinking about all these things and prompting public discussions. So, our brain power can be invested in realising these dreams successfully when all of us contribute to it."

"This is a welcome step being taken by our Modi government. 

Allowing foreign universities to open up in India is of much importance to our students who are facing much problems because of many reasons in continuing their higher studies at available own universities due to which they are compelled to go abroad and study. 

Once abroad, they may think of settling there and thereby depriving our country of their valuable skills and talents. 

So, this opportunity should be fully taken as an advantage to loosen our grips and invite foreign universities to set up their campuses immediately in India. This will boost our educational standards and also keep our young talents within our country."

"Appears to be a great plan. Connecting people and places through construction of roads is a good thing. 

It will facilitate more human relationships and trade between farthest places. 

But, the amount spent is not what appeals. Does it not seem to be a huge amount? 

14,000 crores is too much. Even if you build 14,000 miles of road with this amount, it will come to one crore rupees per one mile of road. Too much cost. Isn't it?"

"Very great goals and dreams! 

$20 trillion economy means to excel US economy or to equal with it. May be too much expectation. 

If we set this target, we may at least reach 10 trillion with much good exercise.


It requires very strict spending, great and efficient administration, full vigilance and smart control at each corner and continuous research along with developing utmost skills and maximum output with least inputs."
