My Comment on an article "Government deregulates diesel; prices to be linked to market" published in the economictimes.com dated 18/10/2014 at 9:50 pm.


"It is a good move as it lightens the subsidy burden on our government. The revenue deficit margins will improve. 

But from public point of view, it is a burden on common man as most of them use diesel fuelled vehicles for transport. 

Further any shortage in stocks of diesel can trigger increase in prices thereby making it more difficult for him. 

So strict supervision and control should be there in supply and demand of diesel stocks."

A Comment on Increase in prices of LPG cylinders

MY Comment on an article "LPG prices hiked by Rs.16.50 per non-subsidised cylinder" published in the Economic Times dated 01/07/2014.at 3:30 pm.


"As the increase is only on non-subsidised cylinders, it will not affect common man if pro-rata is not increased in subsidised price also.. 

Most people consume only 10 to 12 cylinders in a whole year. 

Only larger families with more than 6 members may get affected with this price hike."

A Comment on Deferment of LP Gas price hike

My Comment on an article "Cabinet defers decision on gas price hike by three months" published in the Economic Times. com Dated 25/06/2014 at 10:45 pm.



 "A kind of seemingly relief to consumers for some more period. 

But the actual effect of such underpricing and postponement of decisions is anti-economical for country. 

These subsidies and lower priced supplies will rise the prices of all other commodities and give rise to inflation as a whole. This is not good in the long run"

A Comment on poor state of NGOs

	''The subsidy being given may not be adequate enough for start-ups. Any NGO needs at least some bare necessities to function properly and stabilise. So government should consider increasing subsidy amount to at least 50% of the project requirements.''

A Comment on LPG subsidy to be credited into Bank Accounts from 1st October

 My Comment on a news item " LPG subsidy directly in Bank Accounts from October 1st" in The Economic Times dated 28/04/2013 at 8:50 pm.

It is a good step. But many citizens like me do not have Aadhar card or Voter card.

 I had applied for voter card some 2,3 years back. But after that I shifted my residence 2,3 times and I think that the verification authorities must have reached my home after my shifting. 

Regarding Aadhar card, when I tried to apply for it recently in January, I came to know that it was only for those having LPG connection in their names. But my LPG connection is in my sister's name as I had no address proof and PAN card at that time.
