My Comment on an article "Budget 2015: FM Jaitley proposes increasing service tax, education cess" published in the timesofindia.com Dated 28/02/2015 at 10:50 pm.


"It may be okay to increase Service Tax and Education Cess, when these increases do not affect the life of common man. 

You may apply it on preferential basis to affect only on services not related to the lifestyle of common man. 

Health, courier, home affect the common man life. So they should be spared or applied according to the motives of the people utilizing these services or goods.".

	''Every year people expect reforms and better living standards will be there for them in the new budget proposals.   But, when it actually rolls out they find their hopes evaporating. Budgets actually do not change the living conditions of common man. Neither change of governments can benefit them. Their circumstances do not change as the cost of living and other factors also become harder by that time and nothing improvement is seen in their lives.''

A Comment on PM office internet speed being 34 Mbps

	''Very great thing. Getting 34 Mbps is to be very lucky. And our PM is naturally lucky to be PM and he can therefore get 34 Mbps speed. But our common man internet speed is anywhere between 6 to 8 Mbps; not more than that. At present I tested my net speed and it shows Bandwidth speed at 1.67 Mbps. Is it okay?''

A Comment on Common man's expectations from Budget 2014

My Comment on an article "Common man's expectations from Budget 2014" published in the Economic Times Dated 07/07/2014 at 3:30 pm.


"Too much is being expected by the author on our part. We can be grateful to him for this. But we should see reality also. 

Demanding too much is being irresponsible to our country's growth. We are already experiencing deficit budgets since time immemorable. Why burden yet with more demands?

We can ask for raising the deductible limit under section 80C to Rs.two lacs. That can be reasonable. Not more. 

And one thing that can be considered is to tax the affluent people with higher rates and utilise that money for development works for the benefit of common man."

A Comment on Increase in prices of LPG cylinders

MY Comment on an article "LPG prices hiked by Rs.16.50 per non-subsidised cylinder" published in the Economic Times dated 01/07/2014.at 3:30 pm.


"As the increase is only on non-subsidised cylinders, it will not affect common man if pro-rata is not increased in subsidised price also.. 

Most people consume only 10 to 12 cylinders in a whole year. 

Only larger families with more than 6 members may get affected with this price hike."

"Brilliant idea. To keep on active at social media is a very brilliant tool for being in touch with common man. 

The previous government lacked this touch with common man.

We will also be in touch with his plans and actions and views constantly and he may also get ideas through interaction with public."

"Why not mention about so many millions of fans watching the FIFA world cup from their homes in India? 

India Inc. CEOs can spend money or their companies may be sponsoring their travels. There is no great thing in it. 

All fans are equal whether they personally attend or watch from distance. Both are cheering their favourites equally and both should get commendation."

It is meant for common man who wants to rush to work places very easily enjoying the privilege of owning a car and making through peak traffic hours.

A Comment on Impact of Elections on People

My comment on an article published in Economic Times "Elections 2014: Realty sector struggles with labour shortage" Dated 14/12/2013 at 11:15 am.

"General elections create many problems. This one is not so much important as compared to the many other serious problems posed by our people during election periods and aftermath. 

Many projects get lingered and daily wagers do not find enough work to earn their living. 

All government departments focus their attention on elections and other works get postponed. 

After elections are over, the inflation flares up and all commodities go out of reach of common man. It may take much time to recover from the huge burden of elections."

A Comment on levying of I.Tax on LPG subsidy

My comment on an article in Economic Times Dated 12/12/2013 regarding Income Tax levy on LPG subsidy credited to bank accounts

You:  Very absurd if it is treated as income and taxed. Even though it may not affect the common man whose income does not come in the bracket of taxable income, the 30% tax paying people will be at loss. Nobody can like to lose Rs.1700 willingly. Such items should not be taxed as they are only reimbursements.
