A Comment on Typhoon onslaught in Philippines

Your comment on the article ''Over 100 dead in typhoon onslaught in Philippines'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 9/11/2013 at 11:15 pm.

The above figure is very old one. The latest figures are very horrible and trembling. It is 10,000 and may reach more higher figures. (revised as per news at 5:30 pm. on 10/11/2013)

''Very sad news.
Horrific moments for the affected families. May God give them strength and courage to face the situation.

But the human losses could have been averted if timely precautions had been taken. It is true that one can not overpower nature. But some resistance and control over the losses could have been effected through smart timely action by the administration.''

A Comment on Advertising Rates paid to Channels and Inflation

My comment on an article in the economictimes.com Dated 6/11/2013 at 9:45 pm.

This also is one of the reasons for price inflation.

Advertisers pay heavy amounts for advertising their products and the same will get included in the prices of the commodities along with the making cost of the ad film.

This is very gross injustice on the part of governments, TV channels and business firms. Ultimately they are overburdening the poor common man with all costs. And they say Rs.30/- per day income is enough for feeding a person. What an irony!!!

A Comment on Sita and Lakshman rekha

My Comments on an article posted by Pallavi Tyagi on speakingtree.in titled "Sita, Draupadi and today's women!" on 5/11/2013 at 6 pm.

Very good work. Very nicely compared both the characters and brought forward their qualities. But saying that Sita suffered because of her crossing the line is not appealing. Lakshman created the lines only to prevent evil people crossing those and harm Sita but not to show his power or domination of manhood over womanhood. Sita herself is powerful enough to destroy Ravana when he came to kidnap her. But she did not show her powers and humiliate manhood

Added later:
So it is not quite right to depict it as an example to strengthen a concept that woman not listening or adhering to man's instructions or orders will face problems like Sita. Man and woman are two facets of a single power. No one can survive without the other. It was only Lakshman's anxiety to protect Sita that made him draw a line.

A Comment on Karnataka at 3rd position in Human Trafficking

Your comment on the article ''In India, Karnataka stands third in human trafficking'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 5/11/2013 at 12:29 pm.

''Very pitiable and shameful condition.

But the statistics stated may not be accurate. I was believing that U.P. and Bengal lead the list in trafficking and prostitution. But these figures state otherwise.

Anyhow, it is a very bad business. This kind of trade should be prohibited with strict rules and laws. Culprits should be dealt with severely so that they dare not commit such crimes.''

A Comment on Google adoring Shakuntala Devi with a Doodle

Your comment on the article ''Shakuntala Devi's 84th birthday celebrated with a doodle'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 4/11/2013 at 3:20 pm.

''It is very good of Google to commemorate Shakuntala Devi's magical brain power and her achievements with a Google Doodle on her 84th birthday even though she passed away on 21st April 2013.

Such commemorations let the younger generations know about the contributions and achievements of our old generations making them proud of their ancestors and turning to respect older people.''

A further clarification of My Comment regarding age limits

Your comment on the article ''Child marriage not void, but voidable: Court'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 3/11/2003 at 11:46 am. ( Further comment on a view of a reader that marriage ages of 15 for girl & 18 years for boys should be applicable for all cases)

''Some rules should be applied only for special cases.

They should not be made general as they tend to be misused by perpetrators.

Such tender aged youngsters do not even know the meaning of marriage and the responsibilities that are in store for them.''

A Comment on Child marriage not void but Voidable

Your comment on the article ''Child marriage not void, but voidable: Court'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 3/11/2013 at 11:40 am.

''Really a good practical approach made by the court in this case.
Courts while dealing with stringent legal rules need to access some cases on practical conditions according to the circumstances prevailing at that time of commitment of the deeds.

But people should not be allowed to take advantage of such circumstances intentionally for committing a deed.

People should be well educated regarding results of performing a certain action that may not be good for society.''

A Comment on 8 passengers dying in train accident

Your comment on the article ''8 passengers die as they jump out of train in Andhra Pradesh'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 2/11/2013 at 9:53 pm.

''The news is confusing.

At one point it says that trains collided. And at another point it says that due to rumour of fire in train, the passengers jumped out and came under another train coming from opposite direction on the adjacent track to which direction the passengers have jumped.

Anyhow, it was hasty on part of the passengers to have jumped without confirming facts and without seeing whether any trains are coming.''

''A wonderful knock. Rohit Sharma has created records with sixteen sixers.

Amazing batsman. His performance is very good and he is a good replacement for our little master Sachin Tendulkar.

Buck up Rohit Sharma!!! Congratulations on your good contribution to our country's credit.''

A Comment on Aadhaar being Made Compulsory

Your comment on the article ''Aadhaar card must not be made compulsory: Mamata'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 1/11/2013 at 10:05 pm.

''Yes. It should not be made compulsory for receiving the benefits. It is just like compelling people to do a favour for obtaining some benefit.

Most people do not have Aadhar. I think only 30% are holding aadhar till now. So majority people are deprived of the subsidy.

Government should reconsider its decision and cover all people for granting the subsidy of LPG which is presently enjoyed by a few people only. Whoever have not been credited with the subsidy to their bank accounts should be allowed the benefits with retrospective effect if Government thinks of doing justice to people.''
