A Comment regarding linking tax exemptions and slabs to inflation

My Comment on an article "Government refuses to link tax exemptions and slabs to inflation, to charge higher tax" published in the Economic Times Dated 09/04/2014 at 12:50 pm.

"Is it not a double benefit to the taxpayer? If you link inflation index with tax slabs and minimum exemption limits and accordingly apply differential slab applications for calculating the tax, it will be a double rebate to the taxpayer: once as an increased salary and again as an additional inflation rebate.

I do not think it to be reasonable from the point of Tax Department."

A Comment regarding election manifesto

Your comment on the article ''BJP releases manifesto, promises to improve economy, end policy paralysis'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 07/04/2014 at 12:40 pm.

''A good and development oriented manifesto.

But, I am thinking of having a subsidiary manifesto for each candidate also highlighting what he will do for development of his particular constituency.

In this way each candidate can participate in working towards his goals and thereby the whole country will develop.''

A Comment on slow pace of our Indian judiciary process

Your comment on the article ''British court slams Indian judiciary’s slow pace'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 07/04/2014 at 11:40 am.

''British judiciary rightly held the opinion that Indian judiciary is sluggish in pace.

It is worst than a tortoise's pace. Even a tortoise moves much faster than our files. Very shame on our procedures.

Our courts should do something to regain confidence among our Indian public as well as international image. It should not act only on highlighted cases but on all litigations in an equal justified manner.''

A Comment on need to Stop building Flyovers

My Comment on an article "It it time to stop the endless building of flyovers in India?" published in the Economic Times dated 06/04/2014 at 5:35 pm.

"This is a good point raised needing serious and elaborate discussion.

Flyovers are not solving the problem in bigger cities and metros. Rather they are increasing the problems at many occasions.

So it may be good to look for alternative solutions instead of building flyovers at many points."

A Comment regarding Indians getting more top jobs than China in US

My Comment on an article "Why do Indians get more top US jobs than the chinese" published in the EConomic Times dated 04/04/2014 at 10:39 pm.

"It is a great thing that China caters to their executive talents within home.

It shows that China is economically more developed than India and so chinese need not go to foreign countries for earning.

India should try to follow the example of China to cater to the needs of their workforce."

A Comment on a prediction of the value of Rupee to Dollar

My Comment on an article "Rupee could either be at 55 or 68 in FY 2015, say experts" published in the Economic Times dated 04/04/2014 at 10:25 pm.

"Very silly title. "Rupee could be either at 55 or 68 a dollar".

Why not put it as it could either be at 50 or 100; a more safer side.

What is the sense of this title to this article? It can be assumed by any lay man that it can be like that. No need to tell it now by taking so much pains."

A Comment on elections being short term market booster

My Comment on an article "Elections may provide a short-term market boost: J.P.Morgan" published in the Economic Times Dated 03/04/2014 at 10:19 pm.

"Yes, elections are only a short term boost to markets. Once elections are over, everything will cool down and settle at some equilibrium level.

So elections is not the only thing to be concentrated upon. Many other elements like our foreign policy, development policy mechanism, RBI and Federal Reserve policies all these decide the market movements which need to be closely watched and right decisions need to be taken for economic growth of our country".

A Comment on maintaining status quo by RBI Governor

MY Comment on an article "How Raghuram Rajan could have spoilt pre-election rally on D-street" published in the Economic Times Dated 01/04/2014 at 10:20 pm.

"Great decision by Raghuram Rajan.

Maintaining status quo is a good step. It will definitely control inflation and market activities.

We must wait and see what happens in the period upto 31st June. Both election effects and fund inflow or outflow needs to be watched carefully during this period. Then only any rate revisions can be considered."

A Comment on RBI not allowing rupee to strengthen below 59

My Comment on an article "Right level for rupee at 55? RBI may not let it strengthen below 59" published in the Economic Times Dated 31/03/2014 at 10:40 pm.

"Why Sir, what will be the problem if it pegs down to 56 or 55 per dollar?

Oil imports will be cheaper for us which is the major import item of our country. We can improve our CAD.

Our imports are more than exports done by us. So why not let it fall below 59 per dollar?"
