A Comment on increase of monthly minimum pension to Rs.1,000

My Comment on an article "Proposal for Rs.1,000 minimum monthly pension approved: Government" published in the Economic Times Dated 07/07/2014 at 5:20 pm.


"A very good decision. Minimum pension being raised to Rs.1000 per month is a great gift for most of those who are drawing only upto half of that amount at present. 

It will be a great relief to the pensioner as he may not be compelled to depend on his kins for even pocket expenses and daily needs which may not be common for other members of family. He can live with some self respect."

A Comment on Common man's expectations from Budget 2014

"Too much is being expected by the author on our part. We can be grateful to him for this. But we should see reality also. 

Demanding too much is being irresponsible to our country's growth. We are already experiencing deficit budgets since time immemorable. Why burden yet with more demands?

We can ask for raising the deductible limit under section 80C to Rs.two lacs. That can be reasonable. Not more. 

And one thing that can be considered is to tax the affluent people with higher rates and utilise that money for development works for the benefit of common man."

A Comment regarding RuPay Debit Card

"The author should have given details regarding the nature of RuPay and how it functions. 

Most of us do not even hear about the word RuPay till now. Then how can he expect us to understand the essence and importance of this article. 

Anybody posting an article should first give a glimpse of the subject he is dealing with. Otherwise it is of no use."

A Comment on Renault increasing the prices by one percent

My Comment on an article "Renault hikes prices of Duster, Scala and Pulse by one percent" published in the Economic Times Dated 02/07/2014 at 3:20 pm. 


"Costs of all products are going on increasing. This is an unavoidable circumstance. 

So considering this ever increasing cost of production, 1% price hike can be deemed as nominal and justifiable. 

If you are paying Rs.10,00,000 previously, now you may have to pay Rs.10,10,000 ie. Rs.10,000 extra on ten lacs. Nothing to worry!!!"

"Even though Snowden might have took pains to leak that BJP has been spied over by NSA, it should have been a well known fact to most of us that US might be indulged in such acts to safeguard its interests and so called security of their country as they think it or make us to think in that way and befool us."

"Very useful and informative article for taxpayers. 

The changes made are good and give more clear picture to the taxpayer while filing returns. 

The Direct transfer of Tax refund is a great thing. The taxpayer need not run behind tax offices to get the refund now"

A Comment on Increase in prices of LPG cylinders

MY Comment on an article "LPG prices hiked by Rs.16.50 per non-subsidised cylinder" published in the Economic Times dated 01/07/2014.at 3:30 pm.


"As the increase is only on non-subsidised cylinders, it will not affect common man if pro-rata is not increased in subsidised price also.. 

Most people consume only 10 to 12 cylinders in a whole year. 

Only larger families with more than 6 members may get affected with this price hike."
