My Comment on an article "Why our crowded roads need Quadricycles" in The Economic Times Dated 18/05/2013 at 5 pm.
A good option for Indian commuters.
First thing is quadricycles are less prone to accidents because of its balancing quality. Tricycles like auto rickshaws are prone to disbalancing while taking turns and curves due to which many accidents are taking place.
But mere introduction of quadricycles will not solve the problem. Drivers and pedestrians should be educated towards road safety rules and practices. Our roads also need to be well maintained from damages and potholes.
