"Modi government is now well positioned with funds.

It should immediately carve out plans and start acting.

The available funds and opportunities should be utilized to their maximum extent with sincere efforts at all stages of administration to bring out the growth rates promised by the government or expected by us from our new PM."

A Comment on making India sought after destination for FDI

My Comment on an article "Simple but tangible steps can make India a sought after destination for FDI" published in the Economic Times Dated 22/05/2014 at 12:40 pm.

"Very good article.

It is true that our government should relax the rules to invite foreign participation in Indian markets.

But it should not be disadvantageous to our own small traders who earn their living through small business trades."

A Comment on Anandiben Patel becoming CM of Gujarat

My Comment on an article 'Anandiben Patel: Gujarat's first woman Chief Minister" published in the Economic Times Dated 22/05/2014 at 12:20 pm.

"Very interesting story of Anandiben. I appreciate her dedication and growth as a great leader.

Gallantry award for saving two girl students in 1987 from Narmada Dam waters showcases her bravery and concern for humanity.

I congratulate her on her election as CM of Gujarat and wish her success."

A Comment on easing of Gold import curbs by RBI

My Comment on an article "RBI eases gold import curbs to boost exports" published in the Economic Times Dated 21/05/2014 at 10:30 pm.

"It is good to allow imports to certain extent as it is essential for international trade.

But the imported metal should not lead to negative balance of payments position.

The gold should be used for a sound economic background."

A Comment on possibility of sops to taxpayers

My Comment on an article "Narendra Modi led BJP government may offer sops to taxpayers" published in the Economic Times Dated 20/05/2014 at 5 pm.

"The exemption limit of Rs. 1 lac should be raised to Rs.2lac under section 80C.

But there should not be any restrictions on the way of utilising this exemption by tax payers. They should be free to claim the benefit according to their options."

A Comment on Shankar Sharma of First Global asking growth from Modi

My Comment on an article "Shankar Sharma to Narendra Modi: Give us real economic growth and income" published on Economic Times Dated 20/05/2014 at 2:30 pm.

"2% inflation and 0% CAD? It is being too crazy to ask for it.

You can't expect such miracles.

You can say growth. Growth in all fields, we need. Economical, industrial, agricultural and welfare."

A Comment on online e-commerce platforms offering discounted prices

My Comment on an article "Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal adopting models to ensure discounted prices" published in the Economic Times Dated 20/05/2014 at 1 pm.

"It is a great problem for small retailers.

They can not compete with these giant e-tailers as they trade in small areas and on small quantities.

And, of course, consumers in cities are mostly shifting to online purchases as they can shop from home and choose their choice of materials from variety of brands and qualities."

A Comment on allotment of portfolios in Modi govt.

My Comment on an article "Rajnath Singh tipped for home, Arun Jaitley finance......." published on timesof india.com Dated 20/05/2014 at 11:30 am.

"I think Rajnath Singh will be good as Defence Minister and Jaitley as Home Minister.

Finance should be retained by Modi himself and Sushma be given External Affairs portfolio.

Railways can be fit for Paswan and IB to Arun Shourie."

A Comment on Identification of UPA policy blunders by Modi Govt.

My Comment on an article "Departments told to identify UPA policy blunders" published on timesof india.com Dated 20/05/2014 at 10 am.

"A good step. It will pinpoint the wrong steps taken by policy makers and implementers which will act as a guide for future decisions and implementations.

A review of all major projects and schemes should be done to know whatever actions have been taken and how much implementation has been achieved.

The guilty should be punished and replaced by honest people."

A Comment on key Cabinet portfolios in Modi Government

My Comment on an article "Arun Jaitley and Rajnath Singh should be in Cabinet, Sangh feels" published in the Times of India Dated 19/05/2014.

"I hope Jaitley can handle Home affairs whereas Rajnath Singh Defence portfolio.

Sushma swaraj is good for Foreign/External Affairs.

Narendra Modi should retain Finance portfolio himself so that he can supervise and manage fund allocations and their honest utilisation."

Your comment on the article ''UPA’s ‘parting gift’: Adani group slapped with Rs 5,500 crore notice'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 18/05/2014 at 10:30 am.

''Why do you title it as "parting gift"? Unnecessarily raising controversies among groups.

Only they have issued notice.

If he can prove innocent and get clean chit, nothing will be bad. Otherwise, if he is guilty of fraud, then he should be punished for it.

THis will apply to all equally. Should not be considered as an act of revenge or wilful mischief.''

My Comment on an article "Election Results 2014: How Amit Shah swept Uttar Pradesh for BJP" published in the Economic Times Dated 17/05/2014 at 5:45 pm.

"Very great achievement by Amit Shah for BJP's success in UP.

He dealt it very cleverly and voter friendly. He interacted with the voters in very simple and humble manner convincing them about BJP's concern for them. He got his fruits with his own hard work.

Now he should work for economic and IT development of UP with the same spirit."

A Comment on an article titled History being kind to Manmohan Singh

My Comment on an article "History will be kind to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh" published in the Economic Times Dated 15/05/2014 at 1:45 pm.

"History will be there in record whether one achieves best performance or worst performance. So there is no doubt of Manmohan Singh being there in history books.

But the doubt is about author's intention of this article. He is praising one time, then pulling out his weak points and worst performances. Then bullying him with the quoting of his commandments/pledges in performing his service to the Congress dynasty (not to the public).

So how can he expect history to treat him kindly or generously when he himself is treating this old respectable economist like this?"

A Comment on RBI maintaining/ controlling Rupee value

My Comment on an article "RBI may buy more Dollars to prevent major rise of Rupee" published in the Economic Times Dated 15/05/2014 at 1:10 pm.

"Good work being done by RBI to maintain rupee value.

But is it the fair value of Rupee to be at 60 for Dollar?

If inflation and circumstances pushed down Rupee, the same reasons should affect value of Dollar also. Two decades ago it was 50-52 per Dollar and the same ratio should be maintained now also as per my opinion."

A Comment on stocks rallying on 16th May, 2014

My Comment on an article "Don't expect a 'spectacular' rally on Friday the 16th, say analysts" published in the Economic Times Dated 14/05/2014 at 10:10 pm.

"It is a fact that markets have already been rallying high on great expectations.

It is possible that no further major profits are there for you.

So be cautious in your steps and don't fret later. It will be wise to wait and watch for some time."

A Comment on Nifty, Sensex closing record high on election euphoria

My Comment on an article "Election euphoria: Nifty, Sensex end at record closing high" published in the Economic Times dated 12/05/2014 at 10:15 pm.

"Very good. Great expectations must have made it shoot up.

Anyhow, you should wait and watch the trend for some days. Otherwise it may be a loss investing huge amounts.

You can have short time buys without hesitation."

A comment on "bell curve" method of employee assessment

My Comment on an article "Employee assessment tool ' bell curve ' loses popularity published in the Economic Times dated 11/05/2014 at 12:50 pm.

"A good analysis by the writer showing both uses and weaknesses of bell curve method of assessing employees.

It may good for identifying managerial skilled people but not for assessment of employee performance.

Remuneration and perks should always be based on performance of employee. So the bell curve does not work for this purpose. It is not good to remunerate employees on its basis.

A Comment on FIFA world cup players' tastes and demands

Your comment on the article '''Some want special soap, others want bananas': Brazilian hoteliers surprised by World Cup teams’ extravagant demands'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 11/05/2014 at 10:56 am

''Everything is changing now. People have different kinds of likes and habits. New products are emerging according to tastes.

But common man like me do not find anything real difference in those products. All are made of same stuff with different names and brands.

They cash on the people's demands by naming them with different names and preparing them in different styles. The costs are also too high for such items, whereas the same functions are done by one single soap of normal cost.''

A comment on Rahul being in polling stations during voting hours

Your comment on the article ''Rahul was in EVM enclosure during voting hours in Amethi'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 08/05/2014 at 08/05/2014 at 11: 20 am.

''In the last but one paragraph it is said that "a candidate can enter the polling booth during polling hours and interact with voters".

Then in the last para it is being said that "the penalty against candidate for violating the law is not clear".

Does it not seem to be ambiguous? Where is the question of violating the law if the candidate can enter and interact with voters. It seems the writer is much confused and ambiguous in his statements.''

A Comment on stalling of TV show of Mahatma Gandhi's killing by Godse

Your comment on the article ''Doordarshan got cold feet, stalled TV show on Mahatma’s killing'' is now displayed on timesofindia.com Dated 08/05/2014 at 10:45 am.

''Good quote. Sensitive issues are better when we talk as little as possible of them.

Going into details and filming it is very harmful to society. Our minds are much susceptible to such things. They rise our emotions and make us weep or smile or get violent and react sharply.

So it is better to talk as less of them as possible.''

A further comment on rupee value

My reply to a comment of a reader stating that rupee value should be at 56 per dollar published in the Economic Times Dated 08/05/2014 at 10 am.

"Very happy that you calculated taking so much considerations of facts. Very good reasoning.

But, I would like to see the rupee at 50 to dollar and stabilise at that rate for ever. May be it may take time.

But I hope we can achieve that with some good planning and control."

A Comment on Rupee's value post May 16 verdict

My Comment on an article "Like in 2009, will rupee shoot up 300 paise post May 16 verdict?" published in the Economic Times Dated 07/05/2014 at 10:20 pm.

"We should not see the results based at a particular event happening.

Real value is determined by taking the average during a certain period of time say 3 months or 6 months. The average can be considered to be the real picture of the rupee.

So need not be happy or sad by noticing a jump or slump in values."

A comment on decreasing social and moral values of humanity

I have come across a discussion on the issue of Digvijay Singh's affair with young TV anchor Amrita Rai published in the Deccan Chronicle (Hyderabad Edition) dated 04/05/2014 on their page 2.

I would like to express my views here.

I do not find fault with the above mentioned people here. But am speaking of our society as a whole.

Our Indian age old culture is to respect moral and ethical values as well as human values of entire society. Whenever we think, speak or act all our responses should be based on a principle of maintaining our own culture and heritage. We should be a good example and guide for our children and neighbours. We should respect our family values and should be a pride for our parents and elders. We should not do whatever we think is good as per our modern mixed cultured environment. We should think from our heart and be able to see good and bad for our family and society. Selfishness and emotions should not overtake us. We should be able to control our feelings and emotions for the sake of maintaining good manners for a healthy society.

My Comment on an article "Akshaya trithiya turns inauspicious for Gold" published in the Economic Times dated 02/05/2014.

If sentiments do not allow, buy a token value of gold and invest the rest of the amount in better yield giving options."
